Deutsche Bank AG’s chief legal officer Arne Wittig has announced that he will leave the banking and financial services company to take on the task of restructuring the legal department of German steel and industrial company ThyssenKrupp, beginning on October 1.
Wittig will come aboard as general counsel as ThyssenKrupp reorganizes its legal department into two separate divisions, according to a statement from the company. One division will be dedicated to legal matters and the other to compliance matters; Wittig will be responsible for overseeing the new legal division.
