Eastman Kodak licensed IMAX exclusive rights to a portfolio of more than 50 patent families covering laser projection technology in a deal announced Monday.
The deal will allow IMAX to project digital content onto its largest screens—something the company currently relies on film to do—and make it easier for IMAX to distribute content throughout its global network of theaters.
