Patents owned by Intellectual Ventures started popping up in lawsuits about one year ago. This week, 16 more companies found themselves on the receiving end of allegations that they had infringed patents once held by IV, when they were sued by a freshly formed patent-holding company called Oasis Research LLC.
This most recent lawsuit (pdf) more than doubles the number of companies that have been sued with patents once held by IV.
