Nintendo Co. Ltd.’s lawyers at Seattle’s Perkins Coie asked an Arkansas federal judge to disqualify Floyd & Buss from a patent infringement case because Floyd & Buss learned confidential information about Nintendo through a joint defense agreement on another case.

Nintendo’s lawyers filed the motion to disqualify the Austin, Texas-based litigation boutique on April 22 in Shared Memory Graphics LLC v. Apple Inc. Shared Memory Graphics sued Apple Inc., Nintendo, Sony Corp. and several Sony subsidiaries for patent infringement in the Western District Arkansas in July 2009. Shared Memory accused the companies of infringing two patents related to computerized graphic accelerator systems.
