McCowan, a partner at Gordon & Rees, focuses on drug, medical device and other product liability litigation, environmental litigation and commercial litigation, including matters involving trade secrets and unfair business practices. He received his J.D. from UC-Hastings law school in 1974. Laura Mask and Natalie Khorochev have joined Shartsis Friese as associates. Mask, formerly with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, focuses on real estate law. She is a 2009 graduate of University of Texas School of Law. Khorochev, who graduated this year from UC-Hastings law school, will begin her practice splitting time between the real estate and corporate practice groups. Arthur Haubenstock has joined Perkins Coie's San Francisco and Washington, D.C., offices as a senior counsel in the environment, energy and resources practice. Haubenstock, who was most recently vice president for regulatory affairs at BrightSource Energy Inc., earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 1989. SILICON VALLEYKilpatrick Townsend & Stockton has added Matthew Meyer as an associate to the firm's Menlo Park office. Meyer, who previously served as senior litigation and intellectual property paralegal at Logitech, is a member of the patent litigation team in the IP department. He is a 2010 graduate of UCLA School of Law. SOUTHERN CALIFORNIAStephen Reiter has joined Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton's San Diego office as counsel. Reiter, formerly with Foley & Lardner, is a member of the health and life sciences team in the intellectual property department. He received his J.D. from University of Tulsa College of Law in 1985. Safarian & Choi in Los Angeles has added David Bolstad as a name partner and changed its name to Safarian Choi & Bolstad. Bolstad, a real estate litigator, was previously with Allen Matkins Leck Gamble Mallory & Natsis. He graduated from Loyola Law School in 1991. San Diego's Casey Gerry Schenk Francavilla Blatt & Penfield has added Mark Ankcorn as of counsel to its class action litigation practice team. Prior to joining the firm, Ankcorn was in private practice handling national consumer class actions. He is a graduate of Pacific McGeorge School of Law. Molly White has joined McGuireWoods as a partner in the firm's Los Angeles office. White, who previously served as senior trial counsel at the Securities and Exchange Commission, is a member of the government, regulatory and criminal investigations practice group. She graduated from Loyola Law School in 1993. Adam Mehr has joined Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp as of counsel in its Los Angeles office. Mehr, the former executive vice president of business affairs and general counsel of Gold Circle Films, is a member of the entertainment and new media and corporate and business transactions practices. He received his J.D. from Loyola Law School in 1996.
