Representing major banks and financial institutions, Reidy has earned a reputation as a top litigator while still finding time to support individuals in need. As a partner for Reed Smith's financial industry group, he supervises a multimillion-dollar practice that includes fair lending, debt collection, credit reporting and unfair business practices. In just under 10 years, he has hundreds of wins and dismissals under his belt, including a summary judgment in a multimillion-dollar intellectual property suit and a key role in defeating certification of a billion-dollar class action brought against client Wells Fargo, where plaintiffs alleged mortgage-lending discrimination. Outside the courtroom, Reidy shares his effort and expertise as a committee member with the Bar Association of San Francisco, a mentor within his firm, and as a fundraiser for the United Way.
