When OneJustice and its pro bono partners want to do outreach in rural communities, they don’t rely on Facebook, Twitter or newfangled apps. They get on a bus.

The Justice Bus Project provides legal services to California rural communities such as Kelseyville and Ukiah, where residents don’t always have access to lawyers. The project partners with pro bono attorneys and legal services nonprofits to provide specific expertise where it’s needed. For example, in October, Fenwick & West lawyers boarded the bus for Napa, where they teamed with Legal Aid of Napa Valley to draft and execute advanced health care directives for residents of a senior mobile home park.
