The latest round in the battle between retail pharmacies and pharmaceutical companies over drug pricing has produced a win for Big Pharma.
On Wednesday a California appellate court upheld a lower court ruling granting summary judgment to the pharma companies in an antitrust suit brought by 15 retail pharmacies in the state. The court agreed that the plaintiffs had failed to show that the pharmaceutical companies conspired to charge higher prices on their products in the United States compared to prices they charged in Canada.
