The Los Angeles office of Texas-based firm Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld filed a complaint against an entertainment executive who allegedly looped the firm’s lawyers into a loan brokering scheme by promising payouts for introductions to high-powered Hollywood figures — payouts that never came through.
