SAN FRANCISCO — After years of pretrial battle, a big name, big statured, ex-wrestler defense attorney and a typically gruff former New York homicide prosecutor kicked off the Barry Bonds trial today by coolly and, in some cases, delicately previewing what is to come over the next several weeks.
