It was expected to take two months. But by Tuesday afternoon, it was clear that the trial of former Brocade Communications CEO Gregory Reyes for backdating stock options would wrap up by the end of this week � after just over a month’s worth of testimony and arguments.

The case has been closely watched because Reyes was the first executive indicted in the wide-ranging options scandal. And while others have since entered guilty pleas, he’s the first to go to trial.
