About 400 venture capitalists, inventors and attorneys gathered Thursday to buy and sell patents, trademarks, domain names and copyrights -- including the rights to all of Jimi Hendrix's music, which brought in a whopping $15 million. The New York auction was the second arranged by IP group Ocean Tomo, in what many considered a test of the controversial IP auction model. Although bidding was less than ferocious, nearly $21.7 million worth of intangibles were sold.
