After an attorney who is a member of the D.C. Bar was found guilty in a South Korean court of stealing from a fellow airplane passenger, the lawyer faced disciplinary proceedings by the Office of Bar Counsel. On Friday, the D.C. Court of Appeals found that the rules applying to convictions in U.S. state and federal courts shouldn't apply to convictions in foreign courts.
