Former Delaware Chief Justice E. Norman Veasey, senior partner at Weil, Gotshal & Manges, spoke at the Institutional Investor Legal Forum’s Winter Roundtable.
The event was hosted February 12 at the New York Athletic Club.
Veasey’s speech titled “General Counsel in the Crosshairs: Personal Liability and Other Perils” discussed the personal risks to in-house counsel in the wake of the financial crisis as new laws, empowered regulators and private litigants extend their reach.
Veasey serves as a strategic adviser to the firm’s roster of global clients on a range of issues related to mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and litigation.
