Day Pitney has trimmed additional staffers from its ranks, letting go of 11 in Connecticut offices this month. That group is part of 29 total staffers laid off across eight of the firm's nine offices stretching from Boston to Washington, D.C.

Day Pitney's two main offices are in Hartford, Conn., and Florham Park in northern New Jersey.

Back in February, Day Pitney let go 66 staff members firmwide with 31 of those affected working in Connecticut. In May, the firm dropped seven associates from its Hartford and Stamford, Conn., offices as part of 20 total lawyers who were let go.

A firm spokesman said no other layoffs had occurred at the firm between May and November.

Other changes have occurred at Day Pitney this year. This summer, the firm announced that it is doing away with its traditional associate class, opting for an apprenticeship approach that emphasizes one-on-one training over individual assignments. And the 13 associates scheduled to join the firm this fall were deferred until January.
