Things are really starting to get interesting in the ongoing securities class action trial in New York against Vivendi Universal and its former CEO and CFO. Throughout the case, Vivendi has done everything possible to keep French shareholders out of the class. They haven't been successful so far. In a motion filed Tuesday, plaintiffs' counsel sought an order requiring Vivendi to withdraw its suit against French class members in Paris that tried to prevent them from participating in the New York case.
