More than 200 creditors have filed a total of more than $450 million in claims against the now-defunct Dreier LLP, according to court papers.
Listed on the claims register are several hedge funds allegedly defrauded by Marc S. Dreier, the sole equity partner of the 250-member firm, including Eton Park Capital Management, which seeks over $84 million, and Fortress Credit Opportunities I, which filed a $61.9 million unsecured claim.
Dreier, who has been free on bail since Feb. 13, stands accused of selling more than $700 million in phony real estate development notes and fake pension plan notes.
Ex-Dreier contract partners also have lined up to recoup money from the estate, with Bruce F. Bronster asking for nearly $767,000 and entertainment attorney Lisa Bonner claiming $448,365.
Tuesday was the last day for all creditors to file claims in the Chapter 11 proceeding.
