Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft is set to make nine layoffs in the U.S., with six associates to be cut in New York and three in Charlotte, N.C. The firm has also seen the departure of insurance and reinsurance chair Clifford Schoenberg, who left for Mayer Brown. Schoenberg's move follows the defection earlier this month of financial restructuring co-chair Bruce Zirinsky and restructuring litigation partner John Bae, as well as the walkout of a seven-partner team from the firm's London office last week.
