Bingham McCutchen has become the latest firm to benefit from the collapse of stricken investment bank Bear Stearns with the double hire of Kenneth Kopelman and Gerald Russello. Kopelman was the head of the Bear Stearns fixed income and derivatives legal groups, while Russello was the former managing director of Bear Stearns' legal department. Kopelman joins as a partner, while Russello joins as of counsel, with the pair of them going into the firm's international securities group.
