New Jersey, Nevada Courts Join Controversial List of 'Judicial Hellholes'

Courts in Clark County, Nev., and Atlantic County, N.J., are making their debut on a list of courts that the American Tort Reform Foundation considers the least favorable for defendants looking to fend off plaintiffs' tort claims. In another new twist to the annual report, the state court in Madison County, Ill., which the foundation has long considered one of the worst for defendants, has dropped out of the "hellhole" category and is now on a watch list, a source said.
