Dewey Raids Three Firms
Legal Times
October 08, 2007
The newlywed firm of Dewey & LeBoeuf has picked up a troupe of partners in Washington, D.C.
Donovan Picard and Edward Rowe arrived from Hunton & Williams, where Picard was chairman of the international law and dispute resolution group. His practice focuses on international arbitration and litigation. Rowe is also an international arbitration and litigation partner.
Lawrence Sung, a registered patent attorney, moved to the firm from Nixon Peabody, while Robert Lorndale, a federal income tax and business lawyer, joined from Ivins, Phillips & Barker.
"The addition marks an exciting beginning to the new firm," says Dewey & LeBoeuf Chairman Steven Davis. "The Washington, D.C., office is experiencing exponential growth, and these high-caliber lawyers will contribute to the quality, scale, and scope of our practice there."
The firm also announced that two Washington lawyers would sit on its newly formed 22-member executive committee: litigation partner Ann Ashton, who comes from the LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae side, and tax and international trade partner John Salmon, who was with Dewey Ballantine pre-merger.
