O'Connor injured his shoulder while on vacation in Barbados by falling in a shower after receiving a massage, he probably had no idea that his lawsuit against the resort would result in a ruling that clarifies the 3rd Circuit's test for personal jurisdiction. The circuit found the hotel's contacts with Pennsylvania, including a mailed brochure and phone calls to finalize spa treatment reservations, were "sufficiently related" to the claim to establish personal jurisdiction.
