Philadelphia's $135,000 starting associate salary bandwagon just got a little more crowded. Hangley Aronchick Segal & Pudlin's board of directors voted last week to raise the firm's entry-level associate salaries from $125,000 to $135,000, effective July 1. The firm appears to be the first in Philadelphia with less than 50 attorneys to offer $135,000 to its associates. The announcement came on the heels of a survey that indicates clients want to be a part of the salary-hike discussions.
