Plaintiffs filed over 350 products liability cases last month in Delaware state court against AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals over the anti-psychotic drug Seroquel, which is more than the total number of cases filed in AstraZeneca's home state in the last two years. A defense observer thinks that plaintiffs counsel may be trying to force the company into an early settlement of the Delaware cases and to avoid the federal multidistrict litigation. But a defense attorney says AstraZeneca has no plans to settle.
