The trial of Prabhat Goyal -- former CFO at Network Associates, now known as McAfee -- presents a drama that few expected when Goyal was indicted: A central figure in the case, former McAfee controller Terry Davis, is now a key player in the government's subsequent indictment of McAfee's ex-GC, Kent Roberts, in connection with misdating stock options. If Davis testifies in Goyal's case, it would give the Roberts defense team sworn testimony by a key witness, a potentially valuable tool in defending him.
