A lawyer representing people claiming that the acne drug AccutaneŽ caused them serious gastrointestinal diseases said a consortium of law firms is ready to try cases in Atlantic City, N.J., and Madison County, Ill., in April -- the first two cases of potentially hundreds to go to trial. Michael D. Hook of Florida's Hook Bolton Mitchell Kirkland & McGhee, who has spent much of his career in defense work, has joined with four other firms in Florida and New Jersey to pursue the suits against Hoffman-LaRoche.
