Lerach's Bid for Lead Counsel Status Rejected in Comverse Class Action

A federal judge overseeing a class action against embattled telecom company Comverse Technology has vacated a magistrate judge's decision recommending the appointment of Lerach Coughlin Stoia Geller Rudman & Robbins as lead plaintiffs counsel. The decision is the most recent blow to the prominent securities class action firm. Last month a Texas federal judge granted lead plaintiffs' request to replace Lerach Coughlin in Archdiocese of Milwaukee Supporting Fund v. Halliburton.
