Taking a page from a Florida judge's playbook, an Atlanta federal judge told squabbling lawyers they might need to resolve future petty differences with a game of "Rock, Paper, Scissors." Judge Marvin H. Shoob warned attorneys in a consumer debt collection case that before asking him to settle any more disputes, they should consult a 2006 order by Florida federal judge Gregory A. Presnell, in which he settled an argument between opposing counsel by fashioning "a new form of alternative dispute resolution."
