NFL Player Sends Mom Cease and Desist Letter for Using His Likeness

Mina Brees, a shareholder in Austin's Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr and Democratic candidate for Place 5 on the 3rd Court of Appeals in Austin, Texas, may have dropped the ball when she used the name and likeness of her son, New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees, in a television commercial for her campaign. In an Oct. 20 letter, CCA Sports, which represents Drew Brees, demanded that his mother cease and desist mentioning the NFL player in her TV spot.
