Buchanan Ingersoll and Klett Rooney Lieber & Schorling will merge on July 1, as approved by the firms' shareholders Tuesday. Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney will be the largest firm in Pennsylvania, with roughly 313 lawyers in the state, and more than 525 nationwide. The intra-city merger was the first in Pittsburgh since at least 20 years ago and is predicted by at least one shareholder to possibly set off similar mergers among other law firms.
