As the new bankruptcy code fast approaches, many attorneys are predicting the law will cause significant changes in consumer and business bankruptcy practice and wind up requiring court intervention to sort out ambiguities. Another daunting characteristic of the code: its sheer size. Noting that the bill is more than 500 pages long, one professor of bankruptcy law says the code presents a steep leaning curve for practitioners, adding: "Every time you look at the bill you see something else."
