The Oakland Raiders got a crucial first down in a $1.2 billion suit against the National Football League when California's high court agreed Wednesday to review the case for possible appellate error. The court's unanimous decision gives the Raiders a chance to prove their contention that Los Angeles' 2nd District Court of Appeal erred by reversing a trial court judge who had granted the team a new trial based on juror misconduct. The team claims the NFL interfered in plans for a new stadium.
