In-house legal departments haven't exactly been trendsetters when it comes to gadgets and gear. That was clear from Corporate Counsel's first two in-house tech surveys, where a big challenge in describing the pace of departments' technological progress was finding synonyms for "slow." But the results of the latest survey are promising: Legal departments are starting to understand that technology not only makes them more efficient, but forces outside counsel to be more cost-effective as well.
