"Will you be able to balance your duties as a single mother of twins with your duties as a Broward judge?" That's what a public defender says she was asked during interviews to fill Florida bench vacancies. She is one of a number of candidates who are complaining about questions posed by judicial nomination commission members appointed by Gov. Jeb Bush. Most of the criticism is focused on a local pastor who says he thinks judges should be "God-fearing."
