The New York Stock Exchange on Wednesday asked Larry Sonsini, the longtime chairman of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, to take over the scandal-rocked Big Board as interim chairman. The offer came as stock exchange chairman Richard Grasso stepped down amid a firestorm over his $139 million pay package.
