Sept. 11 Plaintiffs Win Case Against Iraq

Evidence of the alleged link between the Iraqi government and al-Qaida may not have been conclusively accepted in the court of public opinion, but it is enough to win a default judgment in the Southern District of New York. The survivors of two people killed in the World Trade Center attack were awarded $104 million in damages Wednesday against the state of Iraq, Osama bin Laden and his terrorist network.
