The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals got to the bottom of things recently in holding that a trial court did not err when it denied a motion to suppress crack cocaine that a Houston police officer found when he looked between the buttocks of a man without first obtaining a search warrant. The case marked the first time the CCA addressed whether a search incident to arrest includes a visual body-cavity search.
