Commercial litigator Craig Powell, franchising lawyer Sean O’Donnell and technology specialist Brendon Noney are joining HWL Ebsworth’s office in the Sydney suburb of Baulkham Hills.
Powell focuses on matters arising in the media, energy and food and beverage industries. He joined 250-lawyer Thomsons in 2008.
O’Donnell, in addition to his franchising practice, also handles litigation involving property and lease disputes, securities enforcement and insolvency claims. He joined Thomsons in 2004.
Noney focuses on information and communications technology, advising on contracts, intellectual property and privacy issues. He also advises on acquisitions and divestments in the sector. He joined Thomsons in 2010.
HWL Ebsworth has about 500 lawyers, including 168 partners, in six offices across Australia.
