During a tightly contested game between the San Diego Chargers and the Denver Broncos, Hochuli made a bad call that almost certainly cost the Chargers the game. Angry San Diego fans quickly found a way to let him know how they felt through an e-mail address provided by his Phoenix law firm. Hochuli, who will be downgraded by the league for the mistake, answered the irate messages with a contrite one of his own.
