The National Law Journal and Law.com are pleased to recognize the honorees for the 2014 Elite Trial Lawyers. Attorneys recognized here have done exemplary and cutting-edge work on behalf of their clients, and are established leaders in the area of plaintiff law.
In the top 100 verdicts of last year, trial lawyers won more than $10 billion for their clients. The sums are staggering, but the results go far beyond money. The efforts of the plaintiffs’ bar changed lives and rewrote public and corporate policies. For those of us who observe and report on the legal profession, this work is among the most important being done by lawyers, with wide-ranging impact on the practice of law and the business of law firms.
Because of this, we are pleased to announce our first-ever Elite Trial Lawyers awards project. For this recognition program, we are focusing on U.S.-based firms that have done exemplary and cutting-edge work on behalf of plaintiffs.
Our effort is different from what other organizations have done. We are not only interested in dollar recoveries but in the complexity and impact of cases. And we are recognizing the firm as a whole, understanding that great trial work is often the result of a team effort. The editorial team from The National Law Journal and ALM will select winners based upon nominations and our reporting.
The Elite Trial Lawyers two day awards celebration will be located at the Wynn, Las Vegas on November 13-14, 2014. Come and celebrate with the winners at this two day event. Check back soon for more information on the awards ceremony dinner, networking, and sponsorship opportunities.
