The Judicial Nominating Commission has submitted four names to Gov. Jack Markell to consider as a possible replacement for retiring Delaware Supreme Court Justice Jack B. Jacobs, according to sources familiar with the process.
The candidates are Superior Court President Judge James T. Vaughn Jr.; Superior Court Judge Jan R. Jurden; Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom attorney Karen L. Valihura; and Widener University School of Law professor Lawrence Hamermesh.
