My First Client
It is hard to believe that I took my oath and entered the practice of law 18 years ago this month. Our bar results were posted on the web at midnight. The firm I was working for had one computer connected to the web. We used a partner’s personal AOL account and a dial-up modem to find that I had passed the bar. I scrolled down the list of blind grading numbers to find mine, while my wife, mother and father looked over my shoulder.
