Paul Lipton (AM Holt)
Paul Lipton, a former longtime shareholder at Greenberg Traurig in Miami, will join Orlando-based Rumberger, Kirk & Caldwell as director of professionalism, career and skill development.
Lipton’s role will be to mentor associates, helping them learn legal skills, build their brand and find success personally and professionally, according to Scott Sarason, administrative partner of Rumberger’s Miami office.
In January 2013, Rumberger retained Lipton to hold a presentation on professionalism at one of the firm’s quarterly partner meetings, prompting a discussion of what the firm could do to boost professional development of its attorneys. The firm then approached Lipton about creating a position for him.
Lipton, a litigator for 40 years before retiring from Greenberg Traurig in 2012, is co-chair of the Miami-Dade Circuit Committee on Professionalism. He recently published the book “Hour of the Wolf: An Experiment in Ageless Living.”
Rumberger, Kirk & Caldwell has 95 lawyers at offices in Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Tallahassee and Birmingham, Ala.
