Robinson & Cole has joined a handful of other law firms that have made significant hiring moves at the start of 2014, with the addition of six new lawyers in Hartford and Stamford.
John B. Lynch Jr., the firm’s managing partner, said the hiring of nine new lawyers over the past week, including the five new associates in Connecticut, will add depth to its labor & employment, business and real estate practices.
“As a firm, we’re always looking for ways to better serve our clients,” Lynch said. “The addition of these lawyers in our major offices and across the breadth of our practices will enhance our level of service and depth of experience we can provide. We are pleased to welcome them all to the firm.”
The hires increase the total number of lawyers to 200 at the state’s second largest law firm, including 112 in Hartford and 35 in Stamford. The firm had an estimated gross annual revenue of $108 million in 2012.
Among those associates hired to work in the Hartford office are Connor Duffy, who joins the health law practice, Susan Masters, in the labor and employment practice; James R. Nault, in the business litigation group; and Lisa C. Riccio, who joins the real estate practice group.
In Stamford, new associates include Kristen Bandura, a business transaction lawyer; and Julia H. Klein, who joins the firm’s commercial real estate practice.
Connecticut-based Shipman & Goodwin recently added eight attorneys to its Washington, D.C., office. All are from the Philadelphia firm of Drinker, Biddle & Reath and all handle complex insurance matters.
