Former Toll Brothers Inc. general counsel MARK KESSLER has joined Duane Morris as counsel in Philadelphia.

LYDIA TAMEZ, former associate GC of Microsoft Corporation, is now a partner with FosterQuan in Houston.

KAREN GARRY, who had been the executive director and assistant general counsel at JPMorgan Chase & Co., joined Allen & Overy as senior counsel in New York.

Covington & Burling announced that SUSAN CASSIDY, former Northrop Grumman Corporation senior counsel in the information systems sector, is now a partner in the firm's Washington, D.C., office.

GIGI WOO, the former global head of debt and equity with Standard Chartered Bank, is now a partner with O'Melveny & Myers in Hong Kong.

BEONG-SOO KIM, former chief of the major frauds section in the criminal division of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Central District of California, joined Jones Day as a partner in Los Angeles.

Jenner & Block announced that KENNETH DOROSHOW, former senior vice president and GC of the Entertainment Software Association, joined the firm as a partner in D.C.

JUDAH SOMMER, formerly SVP for government affairs at UnitedHealth Group Incorporated, joined Crowell & Moring as senior counsel in D.C.

SNR Denton announced that SCOTT TOBAN, a principal and the general counsel of the Real Estate Institute, joined the firm as a partner in Chicago.

EVELYN LIM, former SVP and GC of Element Power Solar Development LLC, joined Chadbourne & Parke as a partner in Los Angeles. Also joining the same office as a partner is PAUL ­KAUFMAN, former executive vice president for transactions of enXco Inc., the North American development arm of Electricité de France.

Duane Morris has added JOHN GOSELIN II, former chief litigation counsel at Cetera Financial Group, to its Atlanta office as a partner.

STEPHEN MALOY, who was instrumental in building General Electric Company's Asia-Pacific office from a single lawyer to a nearly 200-lawyer in-house team in over three decades with the company, has joined Chinese law firm JT&N (Jincheng Tonda & Neal) in a senior advisory role. He is based in Hong Kong.

Holland & Knight announced that MARC SUKKAR, former senior counsel for Msheireb Properties, a subsidiary of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science, and Community Development, joined the firm as a partner in Abu Dhabi.
