PATRICIA BRITTON, former general counsel and corporate secretary of Porsche Cars North America Inc., joined Nelson Mullins as a partner in Atlanta. Joining the same office, as of counsel, is HOLLY STROUD, former senior counsel at GE Energy.

GERALD QUIRK, former general counsel and vice president of corporate affairs at Infinity Pharmaceuticals Inc., is now cochair of the life sciences group at Choate, Hall & Stewart in Boston.

Three in-house counsel from The Goldman Sachs Group Inc. have moved on to top law firms. MICHAEL KEATS, former managing director and associate general counsel at Goldman, joined Kirkland & Ellis as a partner in New York. Simpson Thacher & Bartlett's New York office picked up JONATHAN LINDABURY as senior counsel. He had been a vice president and associate GC at Goldman. A third Goldman veteran, ERIC EDWARDS, former vice president in the office of government affairs at the company, joined Crowell & Moring as a partner in Washington, D.C.

Also joining Crowell as a partner in D.C. is CHERYL FALVEY, former ­general counsel of the U.S. ­Consumer Products Safety ­Commission.

Cozen O'Connor hired STEVE AUTEN as a partner in Chicago. He had been the head of intellectual property at Sandoz Inc., the generic pharmaceutical division of Novartis AG.

SHARON DAVISON, former GC and chief compliance officer of Libertas Partners LLC, is now of counsel with Seward & Kissel in New York.

Proskauer Rose announced that MARY CONSALVI, who had been president and GC of NetBio Inc., is now with the firm as a partner in New York.

JORGE DENEVE, former senior vice president and GC of Aletheia Research & Management, rejoined O'Melveny & Myers as ­counsel in Los Angeles.

BRIAN KORN, former director and head of equity capital markets and equities ­syndicate compliance at Barclays PLC, joined Pepper Hamilton as of counsel in New York.

Seyfarth Shaw added ­ SHASHANK UPADHYE, former VP and global head of intellectual property at Apotex Inc., as a partner in the Chicago office.

ROBERT HOLTZ, former general counsel of Mass­Development, joined Mc­Carter & English as special counsel in Boston.

Dykema Gossett hired ­ KIMBERLY KIPLIN, former GC of the Texas Lottery Commission, as senior ­counsel in Austin.

Covington & Burling announced that MICHAEL CABALLERO has joined the firm as a partner in D.C. He had been an international tax counsel at the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

AMY LOGGINS, former assistant vice president and corporate counsel for labor and human resources at Crawford & Company, joined Taylor English Duma as counsel in Atlanta.

Steptoe & Johnson hired RICHARD BATTAGLIA as senior counsel in Chicago. He had held the same title at BP America Inc.
