Drinker Biddle, based in Philadelphia, has been one of the technology giant’s primary outside law firms for more than two decades. While at the firm, Melinson provided legal counsel for HP on several issues including antitrust, commercial litigation, and intellectual property. A few years ago, the firm got involved in the Association of Corporate Counsel’s value challenge, which encourages firms to improve the value of legal services provided to select clients—in Drinker Biddle’s case, HP. Melinson worked alongside HP’s in-house counsel to better understand what his client needed.
