Andrew N. Vollmer, most recently deputy general counsel of the Securities and Exchange Commission, has rejoined Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale & Dorr as a partner in the Washington office, where he will practice in the securities department. Vollmer left the firm in 2006 to become the deputy general counsel, a position in which he advised the SEC on matters such as enforcement actions, rulemaking, appellate briefs and adjudications. He served briefly as acting general counsel.
