Silicon Valley Bank has a new general counsel: Michael Zuckert joined the bank, whose mission is to increase innovative companies’ probability of worldwide success, in March. He’s responsible for leading the legal department there and providing strategic guidance to SVB’s management team and board.
Before coming to SVB, Zuckert worked at Citigroup, where he held a number of positions during his 12-year tenure, including senior counsel to Citi’s CFO and finance organization, and, most recently, deputy general counsel. He also advised on the company’s public company disclosures and capital market transactions. Zuckert also held legal and business roles at Morgan Stanley and was GC at TheStreet.com. He started his legal career as an associate at Willkie Farr & Gallagher in New York.
