Barnes & Thornburg's Columbus office has added a new partner. ROBERT FOLLAND will now work for the firm's finance, insolvency, and restructuring department. Folland most recently worked for Thompson Hine as a partner.
SUSAN SEABROOK has been brought to Bingham McCutchen as part of the firm's effort to expand its tax group. Seabrook will be placed in the firm's office in Washington, D.C. Seabrook was most recently with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, where she also handled tax matters.
Burr & Forman has hired CHESTER HOSCH as a partner in its corporate and tax practice group. Hosch will be based in the firm's office in Atlanta and will help clients with commercial transactions, securities matters, and financings. He was previously a partner at Schreeder, Wheeler & Flint in its Atlanta office.
Five Allen Matkins Leck Gamble Mallory & Natsis partners have left the firm to start their own practice in San Diego. THOMAS CROSBIE, RAY GLINER, DANA SCHIFFMAN, SEAN SOUTHARD, and CRAIG SWANSON will focus their new firm on property deals.
VIVIAN BERCOVICI has come to Dickinson Wright from Heenan Blaikie. She will be working out of the firm's Toronto office for its insurance group as a partner.
Duane Morris has brought a partner to its Boston office. JONATHAN LOURIE will be in the firm's corporate practice group, concentrating on mainly new media, life sciences, and technology transactions. He was previously at Edwards Wildman Palmer.
Dykema Gossett has hired TIMOTHY KELLY as senior counsel. Kelly will work from Dykema's Minneapolis office as a member of the firm's business litigation group. Kelly had been managing his own firm, Timothy D. Kelly PA, which he shuttered after moving to Dykema.
Jones Day has added MICHELLE TAYLOR in the firm's banking and finance practice in Hong Kong. Taylor comes from Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe.
Katten Muchin Rosenman has hired CLAUDIA ALLEN to be a partner and cochair for its corporate governance practice in Chicago. Allen was previously at Neal, Gerber, & Eisenberg.
TODD BROWER will now work as a partner at McCarter & English. He will be a partner in its health care practice in Newark. Brower was most recently at Brach Eichler.
DONALD LAMPE has moved to Morrison & Foerster as a partner in its financial services group. Lampe was previously at Dykema. He will be based in Washington, D.C.
Nixon Peabody has hired a new partner for its private equity practice in Boston. STACY VEZINA will advise clients on private investment funds in primary and secondary transactions. She was formerly at Ropes & Gray.
Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe has hired ANDREW THORPE as a partner in its capital markets group in San Francisco. He was previously a partner at Morrison & Foerster.
Perkins Coie has brought a partner to its intellectual property practice. MICHAEL GLENN will be working out of the firm's Palo Alto office. He was most recently at the Glenn Patent Group, a Silicon Valley firm that he founded. The firm has closed since Glenn's departure.
GEORGE BURN has moved from Dentons to Vinson & Elkins. Burn, an international arbitration partner, will be based in the firm's London office.
